The return of Candi Scissors & Joyless Noise, a deep dig in the Junk Jrawer, two from a dastardly duo…

Candi Scissors - The Free Marky Horror Fake Digital 7”

Candi, Marky & Weird Larry once again invaded the basement of The Subversive Workshop to record these two new spiky songs brimming with madness & revenge. Marky managed to get all his guitar tracking done except for the solo on "Sweet Dreams, You Bastard," which was performed over the telephone (during his one phone call!) from the Montgomery County jail. He still languishes there to this day, until the bail is raised.

Recorded, mixed & mastered by Jeff McLeod at The Subversive Workshop, 2023.

Joyless Noise, Vol. 6

Volume 6 in a series of joylessly noisy musicks.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Jeff McLeod at The Subversive Workshop throughout 2022-2023.

All core tracks were live-performed/live-mixed synthesizer takes recorded by Jeff, with additional synthesizer overdubs added post.

Tracks 1-3 are collaborations with Carlos Satanist, Christopher Scott Davis and Jeremy Trotter.

Design by Austin Gaines.

They Are All Dead Was Taken - dastardly, nakedly

Debut of the duo They Are All Dead Was Taken, with Ryan Jetten of Make World Gooder Recordings. Live, single-take guitars with a spot of post-massaging, coupled with Ryan’s spiralling array of electronics and sonic mayhem. Depth, derailed detail, weirdness and solo guitar, all coming together for a quick little otherworldly listen.

Jeff McLeod - guitars
Ryan Jetten - electronics, objects

They Are All Dead Was Taken - lethal skeletal dander

2nd release from this duo, brought to you by Make World Gooder Recordings. For this recording, we employed the “Telepathic Method,” a pre-prepared outline for live musical & dynamic shifts at specific times in a 30-min period.

Live guitar, noise, objects, elaborate melodicism & effects all clash and resonate into a whole that is weird, lovely, and has what we believe is great and dynamic movement.
