Cesspool Dreams - last cigarettes
In advance of our upcoming recordings on Somatic Austin and Glossolalia Records, we’ve released a new standalone Cesspool Dreams single. “last cigarettes” is a darkly minimal track, with stark bass guitar lines, a brief sequenced jab of synthesizer, found sounds from the neighborhood cesspool, & Matt’s tale of a few last cigarettes on the Wetumpka bridge.
Cesspool Dreams - anywhere in the south
Built from a wall of analog synthesizers, this track crawls through the drone zone, featuring a stark vocal delivery by Matt Finney and a sneakily sprawling guitar solo. Two full-length releases are coming out later this year on Glossolalia Records & Somatic Austin, but we hope you will take a quick dip in this new track's murky waters while you wait.

Cesspool Dreams - kayfabe
"kayfabe" is a super stripped-down standalone track in advance of our full-length releases due out later this year on Glossolalia Records & Somatic Austin. This one’s just Matt's voice/text, spare, haunting guitar and a dash of synthesizer. Also some wrestling sentiments thrown in there for good measure.
Shane Gillis - Derelictum
Played a sprawled-out guitar solo on this track from long-time collaborator Shane Gillis on his killer instrumental EP Cosmic Oven. Synth and rockin’ guitar collide in the most perfect ways to make for one heavy, atmospheric jam. Enjoy!
Calques/Maltheist split
Once again, I’m on space sickness puke guitar with the mighty Calques. This time around it’s a split with Portland’s Maltheist. Get your ears around the paint-peeling sounds. Limited edition tapes available!
Bad Calm Zero - Vligi
The first recording with the brilliant guitarist Scott Bazar in 20 years! Vligi is a tight little album of experimentalism, drone and, oddly enough, guitar melodicism. It’s quite direct and to-the-point, filled with small, dark details. Lovely moments of stark beauty that many “experimental” releases simply do not have. Jeff & Scott on guitars & devices!
